The FFC Co-Ed U17 Soccer League is for youth aged 13-16 of any skill level in the Stark County area. In each of our soccer leagues, we seek to teach our players the game of soccer in an age appropriate, healthy and encouraging environment. We believe that there is such a thing as ‘healthy competition.’ Size 5 soccer ball recommended. Games with goalie will be played 11 v 11 format with two 35 minute halves.
Our Fall League begins in August and the Spring League begins in April. Registrations are available one month prior. There will be a short devotional time where we share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ every week. The season will conclude with a league celebration that includes food, fun, and league champion awards.
League Dates: August 24 – November 1; End of Season Celebration November 1, 2024
Fee: $65.00 per child, includes team jersey
Refund Policy: $5.00 fee retained if refund requested. No refund will be given to any player who withdraws after the second week of practice. An exception may be granted at the discretion of the staff due to medical reasons only. Further, no refund will be given to any player removed from the league during the course of the season for disciplinary reasons.
Registration: Registration for Fall 2024 league is available now. Registrations will be accepted online with debit/credit card and paper registrations will be accepted at Welcome Desk with check/cash. Office hours are Mon-Fri 9am-3pm. Deadline to register is August 21, or when league fills up, whichever occurs first. Fee required at time of registration. PLEASE REGISTER CHILD IN THE DIVISION ACCORDING TO WHAT THEIR AGE IS ON SEPTEMBER 1 OF 2024 FOR FALL 2024 and SPRING 2025 SESSION. Any deviation from the age standard requires prior permission from the league director.

Skill Evaluation Date and Time: Saturday, August 24 at 11:45am. Everyone please plan to attend. Location at First Friends Church. Please have the player bring a soccer ball (size 5), water in a water bottle with their name on it, wear soccer cleats (no metal) and shin guards under their socks and remove all jewelry.
Mandatory Parents’ Meeting: during skill assessments at First Friends Church Pavilion.
Practice Day and Time: Thursdays once a week for 1 hour and 15 min beginning at 6:00pm. Practice time will adjust according to earlier sunset times in fall. Please remember to bring a size 5 soccer ball, water in a water bottle with player’s name on it and shin guards worn under the socks, and soccer cleats to practice and remove all jewelry.
First Practice: Saturday, August 31 at 10:45am. Practice will be 1 hour and 15 min. All practices after first practice on Saturday will be on Thursdays. Please dress for the weather.
Equipment needed: Size 5 soccer ball, water bottle with name on it, soccer cleats (no metal), shin guards worn underneath socks required to wear during season for safety purposes. Please remove all jewelry and dress according to the weather.
Game Day and Times: Saturdays, schedule will be posted after team rosters are formed. All games played on First Friends Soccer Fields and planned to be at 11:30am and 1pm. (subject to change).
End of Season Celebration: Friday, Nov 1 at 6pm – 7:30pm. First Friends provides the main food item, paper products, plastic silverware, pop/water. Families are asked to bring a side food item to share. Check with coach or sports office in October for details.
Please bring a side dish or dessert to share according to the list below. Please put your name on any containers and utensils you bring and remember to take them home.
U7 – Sides (mac and cheese, beans, fresh vegetables or fresh fruit, etc.)
U10 – Salads (potato salad, pasta salad, fruit salad, lettuce/veg salads and dressing, etc)
U13 & U17 – Desserts
**Disclaimer: Please note that fairness and positive competition are a high priority in our program. Thus, our league leadership reserves the right to alter team rosters/move players in order to balance teams if necessary. We reserve the right to change age division break-ups based on participation numbers, up to and including the first assessment date. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Weather Cancellation Policy: Evening activities will be re-evaluated by staff and decisions for cancellation will be made and posted on website one hour prior to start of activity.
