This league has practice/games from January through March each year. Skill Assessments will be in late November/early December for registered participants. The JH/High School League is for girls in Gr 7-12 with beginner through advanced level experience and are looking for fun and fellowship at the community level. It is a three division format, breaking up the players by ability. In teaching the skills of serving, serve reception, setting, passing, blocking, and transitioning, we strive to integrate fun into each aspect of the program while enabling each participant to be successful.
Athletes in this league use standard USVA equipment with no adaptation. Athletes will need to provide their own knee pads and First Friends Sports League volleyball jerseys are required. Each team consists of a roster of 9 players and two coaches. There are 8 games with practices once a week. There will be a short devotional time where we share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ every week.
Note: The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) is the governing body of athletic programs for junior and senior high schools in the state of Ohio. According to OHSAA regulations, there is a limit on how many athletes participating on the same school teams may play on a team in First Friends Leagues.
