SEASON RUNS FROM April 6 – June 20, 2020
$60.00 Registration Fee | *Please do not include your Sports Fees in your church offering*
($5.00 Fee for refunds) No refund will be given to any player who withdraws after the first week of practice. An exception may be granted at the discretion of the staff due to medical reasons only. Further, no refund will be given to any player removed from the league during the course of the season for disciplinary reasons.
-Parents’ Meeting: Monday March 23 at 7:30pm to 8:30pm, inside First Friends Church (Enter through front entrance and follow signs).
Note: Special requests will be considered, not guaranteed. Only one request, only one name, is allowed.
-NO Skill Assessment for this Age Division
-Practice Days & Times: THURSDAY (new day) 5:30 – 6:45 pm or 6:30 – 7:45 pm.
Team Rosters and Schedules: posted on Friday, April 3 (on website)
On weekdays practices will start with a 15 min. devotional time, from 6:30-6:45 pm for all teams.
Location of practices at Simpson United Methodist Church (4900 Middlebranch Ave. NE, Canton, Ohio 44705).
-Game Day & Times: Saturdays 9:00 am or 10:30 am, and a couple weekdays near the end of the season. First Friends Church (5455 Market Ave N, Canton, OH 44714) and some weekdays near the end of season at Simpson UMC (4900 Middlebranch Ave. NE, Canton, Ohio 44705). Because the focus is fun and skill development, score is not kept for this league.
–Shirt & Hat: Each member will receive a team shirt and baseball cap.
–Equipment Needed: Baseball glove needed. Baseball cleats (no metal cleats) and pants are recommended. Players should wear comfortable clothes and, though it is not required,
it is suggested that players have baseball cleats (no metal spikes, only
plastic). First Friends Church provides the balls, batters helmets and
tees. If you would like to bring your own helmet, you are welcome to.
All helmets must have a face mask and chin strap. In addition, there will be a limited number of bats available for use.
Many players opt to purchase their own and bring them… but that is

Registrations for 2020 league are available online with payment of debit/credit card. They will be in the church brochure racks by Jan 24 and payment required with check/cash at Welcome Desk Mon-Fri 9 am-4:30 pm. Deadline to register March 30 at 4 pm, or when league fills up, whichever occurs first. Will consider late registrations if space available. Jerseys ordered after deadline, may not arrive by first game.
Child must be age 7 or 8 on July 1 of current year to participate in this league.
