The First Friends Sports (FFS) Winter Co-Ed Volleyball League is for men and women age 18 and over. It is intended to provide fun competition and fellowship in a warm and friendly environment. There will be a short devotional time where we share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ every week. This league will have three divisions in Winter 2024, Red, White, and Blue.
This Page is for the RED Registrations only. Players who wish to sign up for the White or Blue league or who are new to the league should register on the WHITE/BLUE page. Players of advanced skill who have played in the league before must contact Tim Zornes at tzornes@firstfriends.org for permission to register in this division. Please note that the RED league will not take registrations exclusively on a first come basis. Player registration must first be approved to meet the skill floor of the Red league and then on a first come basis.
In the event your registration is not approved you can register for the White or Blue League should they still have room. Registrations will be checked Monday – Thursday mornings until leagues are full.
Blue—a recreational league for adults of all skill levels who are looking to have fun or learn/teach the game with moderate, but challenging competition.
Red and White—two competitive divisions for different skill levels with a larger focus on rigorous skill work and intense competition while still fostering Christ-honoring sportsmanship. Please note that there is a minimum skill floor for both divisions, with White Division reserved for veteran players of intermediate skill and Red Division for veteran players with the highest experience and skill who have played in the league previously.
First Friends Sports reserves the right to a final decision on player placement to maintain fun and fair competition for all leagues.
League Dates: January 9, 2024 – March 19, 2024 – Celebration on April 1
Fee: $50 per person due with registration (2023 fee subject to change)
Refund Policy: $5.00 fee retained for refunds. No refund will be given to any player who withdraws on or after the first game. An exception may be granted at the discretion of the staff due to medical reasons only. Further, no refund will be given to any player removed from the league during the course of the season for disciplinary reasons.
Registration: Registrations for Winter 2024 league will be available in Nov., 2023. Please contact Tim Zornes at tzornes@firstfriends.org for permission to play in the RED Division. Payment is NOT required at time of registration for the RED league. Payment will be required after admittance into the league. We will accept a check before hand or check/card on the first day of play. Deadline to register is DECEMBER 22, 2023, or when league fills up, whichever occurs first. Due to skill divisions we cannot guarantee any requests will be granted. Please be flexible as we work to try to make these the best leagues yet.

Scrimmage Date/Times: January 9, 2024 at 8pm or 9pm. Schedule will be posted on this page closer to the scrimmage date.
Game Day/Times: Tuesdays at 8pm or 9pm (10pm open gym)
End of Season Celebration Date/Time: April 1, 2024 at 7pm
Weather Cancellation Policy: Evening activities will be re-evaluated by staff and decisions for cancellation will be made and posted on website one hour prior to start of activity.
