General Information

The  FFC Sports Men’s Basketball Leagues are designed to provide the most competitive men’s leagues in the area.  Based on FFC’s Sports concepts, the Men’s Legend’s league is for men age 40+ and is intended to provide friendly, competitive play. We play 5 on 5 to ensure quality playing time for all. Post-game huddles are mandatory. During this time of fellowship, each participant is introduced to the claims of Christ and is encouraged to share with each other how Christ is impacting their lives. We have an individual sign up, with each team being drafted.

League Dates:  September 5  – November 14, 2023

Fee: $80.00 due with registration
$20.00 additional jersey fee. First Friends reversible black/red sports jersey required. (Do not need to purchase if you already have one.)

Refund Policy:  $5.00 fee retained for all refunds.  No refund will be given to any player who withdraws on or after the first week of games. An exception may be granted at the discretion of the staff due to medical reasons only. Further, no refund will be given to any player removed from the league during the course of the season for disciplinary reasons.

Requests:  Requests are not guaranteed. Teams are drafted by the coaches.  Requests that affect the competitive balance of the team cannot be honored.

Registration:  Registration is available online now, and paper registrations will be available in the church brochure racks by Aug 2.   Payment with debit/credit card is required with online registration.  Please check your email account for a confirmation email immediately after completing the online registration process. Payment accepted at Welcome Desk with paper registration form/check/cash.  Welcome Desk office hours Mon-Fri 9am-3pm.   Registrations will be accepted until Sept 5, or when league fills up, whichever occurs first.

Evaluation Date:  Sept 5 at 8pm.  This is for registered participants only.     Coaches and all participants are required to wear the First Friends (black/red) Sports Jersey.  If you do not have one, new ones can be purchased that night in the Sports Office by the gym.

Game Days/Times:  Tuesdays at 7pm or 8pm

Gender Policy Statement: (Oct 12, 2017) Please note that when we list ‘boy’s/men’s’ or ‘girl’s/women’s’ we are referring to the birth gender of the participant. For all of our leagues, classes, unless they are designated as Coed, it is our policy that players participate within the gender designation that complies with the previous statement. We want to thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
