General Information

The Girls Basketball League is for girls of all skill levels in Grades 4-6.    Skills to be taught in this league include dribbling, passing, shooting and defending. In competing with others in the community,  girls are able to develop a strong ethic of sportsmanship, learning to compete in a friendly manner. Incorporated in this process is our First Friends Sports Ministry Devotional program to enhance each athlete’s development outside of practices and games.

League Dates:  Fall 2025 has been cancelled

Fee:  $65.00 league fee (2025 fee subject to change)
$20.00 jersey fee. Black/red reversible basketball jersey from First Friends Sports. If you purchased one in previous years you do not need to purchase a new one.

Refund policy: $5.00 fee retained if refund requested. No refund will be given to any player who withdraws after the second week of practices. An exception may be granted at the discretion of the staff due to medical reasons only. Further, no refund will be given to any player removed from the league during the course of the season for disciplinary reasons.

Registration: Registration is normally available one month prior to the start of the league.  Registrations will be accepted until the league fills up or TBA, whichever occurs first.

Request Policy: Only one request is permitted on registration form per child.  If requesting another player, that player must request you.  Requests are NOT guaranteed.  Please click on the link Request Policy (updated Aug 2023) to read the policy regarding this.  These leagues are going to be formed according to ability, to best serve each player.  

**Disclaimer: Please note that fairness and positive competition are a high priority in our program. Thus, our league leadership reserves the right to alter team rosters/move players once scrimmages have been played in order to balance teams if necessary. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Policy Statement:  (Oct 12, 2017)  Please note that when we list ‘boy’s/men’s’ or ‘girl’s/women’s’ we are referring to the birth gender of the participant.  For all of our leagues, classes, unless they are designated as Coed, it is our policy that players participate within the gender designation that complies with the previous statement.  We want to thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
