General Information
The Co-ed U13 Soccer League for children ages 10–12 seeks to grow our athlete’s soccer skills through fun, age-appropriate practices and games, while fostering skill development, teamwork, and healthy competition in a positive environment.
Spring League (April–June 2026)
League dates: April TBD, 2026 – June TBD, 2026.
Mandatory Skill Evaluation: [DATE TBA]; if you are unable to attend, please email us at sports@firstfriends.org
Practices: Thursdays at 6:00–7:15 pm.
Games: Saturdays at 9:00 am or 10:30 am.
Devotional: A 15-minute devotional time, teaching the basics of Christian faith with a soccer fundamental, will conclude each Thursday practice.
Fee: $65 per child (includes jersey).

Parent Resources
When & Where: April TBD – June TBD, 2026. Practices: Thursdays (6:00–7:15 pm). Games: Saturdays (9:00 am or 10:30 am). Location: First Friends Church, 5455 Market Ave N, Canton, OH.
Format: 11 vs 11 with a goalie; two 30-minute halves. Score is kept.
End of Year Celebration: June TBD, 2026 — pizza, pop, water, and paper products provided; families bring a side or dessert. Held at the church inside the gym.
Refunds: $5 retained for refunds. No refund is available after the second week, unless approved for medical reasons; none is provided if the student is removed for disciplinary reasons.
Registration: Opens online November 1, 2025; paper forms available November 6th at the Welcome Desk. Office hours: Monday–Friday, 9 am–3 pm. Deadline: TBD or when full. Late registrations accepted if space allows, though jerseys may arrive late.
Age Requirement: Register based on age as of September 1st of the previous fall. Exceptions only with director approval.
Special Requests: One request allowed (e.g., buddy pairing), must be mutual, not guaranteed. View our Policy on Team Rosters.

Picture Day Date: TBA
Equipment: Required gear: Shin guards, Size 4 soccer ball. Recommended gear: Soccer Cleats (no metal spikes), water bottle.
Weather Cancellations: Directors will monitor the weather and make cancellation decisions one hour before the start of the activity.

Fairness of Competition Disclaimer: Fairness and positive competition are central to our program. To ensure balanced teams, league leadership reserves the right to adjust rosters or reassign players as necessary.
Pick up soccer games
Pick up games every Thursday, weather permitting at 7:15pm until dark. All families are welcome to come, adults and children. Wear your shin guards and have fun!
