Co-Ed U10 Soccer Spring League Ages 7-9

Malone University Soccer Camp for ages 7 to 17. June 8-11 from 9am to noon at Malone University’s artificial turf field. Register on Malone's website.

General Information

The Co-ed U10 Soccer League introduces children ages 7–9 to the fundamentals of soccer through fun, age-appropriate practices and games, fostering skill development, teamwork, and healthy competition in a positive environment.

Spring League (April–June 2026)

League dates: April 3, 2027 – June 11, 2027.
Mandatory Skill Evaluation: April 3 at 9:30am; if you are unable to attend, please email us at sports@firstfriends.org
Practices: Tuesdays at 6:00–7:15  pm.
Games: Saturdays at 9:00 am or 10:15  am.
Devotional: A 15-minute devotional time, teaching the basics of Christian faith with a soccer fundamental, will conclude each Tuesday practice.
Fee: $65 per child (includes jersey).

Parent Resources

When & Where: April 3– June 11, 2027. Practices: Tuesdays (6:00–7:15 pm). Games: Saturdays (9:00 am or 10:15 am). Location: First Friends Church, 5455 Market Ave N, Canton, OH.

Format: 7 vs 7 with a goalie; two 25-minute halves. Score is kept.

End of Year Celebration: June 12, 2026 at 6pm-7:30pm — pizza, pop, water, and paper products provided; families bring a side or dessert. Held at the church inside the gym. Doors open at 5:30pm.

If you plan to attend the celebration, we invite you to bring a dish to share with others during the meal. The suggested items are not inclusive.

U7—Salads (fruit, vegetable, pasta, etc.)
U10/13—Sides (veggie sticks, chips, dips, casserole, etc.)
U17—Desserts (cookies, cupcakes, brownies, etc.)

Refunds: $5 retained for refunds. No refund is available after the second week, unless approved for medical reasons; none is provided if the student is removed for disciplinary reasons.

Registration: Opens online November 6th at 9am. Office hours: Monday–Friday, 9 am–3 pm. Deadline: March 31, 2027, or when full, whichever occurs first. Late registrations accepted if space allows, though jerseys may arrive late.

Age Requirement: Register based on age as of September 1st of the previous fall. Exceptions only with director approval.

Special Requests: One request allowed (e.g., buddy pairing), must be mutual, not guaranteed. View our Policy on Team Rosters.

Complimentary Coach Photo Information

Equipment: Required gear: Shin guards, Size 4 soccer ball. Recommended gear: Soccer Cleats (no metal spikes), water bottle.

Weather Cancellations: Directors will monitor the weather and make cancellation decisions one hour before the start of the activity. Cancellations are posted on top of website pages.

Pick up soccer games

Pick up games every Thursday, beginning April 23, weather permitting at 7:15pm until dark. All families are welcome to come, adults and children. Wear your shin guards and have fun!
