General Information
To provide boys in grades 6–8 an opportunity to grow in basketball skill, teamwork, and Christian character through fun, competitive play and weekly devotionals that inspire faith and fellowship.
Spring League (March–May 2026)
League dates: March 23– May 21, 2026
Mandatory Skill Evaluation: March 23 at 4, 5, 6, or 7pm. March 26 at 4, 5:15 or 6:30pm. Please check back March 20 for the first assessment schedule. Please check this page on March 25 for the 2nd assessment schedule. If you are unable to attend, please email us at sports@firstfriends.org
Practices: Mondays & Thursdays 4, 5, 6 or 7pm (Practice dates 4/6, 4/9, 4/13, 4/16, 4/23)
Games: Mondays & Thursdays at 4, 5, 6 or 7pm
Devotional: A 15-minute devotional time, teaching the basics of Christian faith with a soccer fundamental, will conclude each Monday practice.
Fee: $90.00 per participant (+$20 jersey, if needed).

Parent Resources
When & Where: March 23– May 21, 2026 Practices: Mondays & Thursdays 4, 5, 6, or 7pm. Games: Mondays & Thursdays 4, 5, 6, or 7pm. Location: First Friends Church, 5455 Market Ave N, Canton, OH.
Format: 5 vs 5; four 10-minute quarters. Score is kept. [Rulebook]
Refunds: $5 retained for refunds. No refund is available after the second week, unless approved for medical reasons; none is provided if the student is removed for disciplinary reasons.
Registration: Opens online TBD, please check back early February; paper forms available TBD at the Welcome Desk. Office hours: Monday–Friday, 9 am–3 pm. Deadline: March 20 or when full. Late registrations accepted if space allows, though jerseys may arrive late.
Age Requirement: Register based on the child’s current grade in the ’25-26 school year. Exceptions only with director approval.
Special Requests: One request allowed (e.g., buddy pairing), must be mutual, not guaranteed. View our Policy on Team Rosters.

Fairness of Competition Disclaimer: Fairness and positive competition are central to our program. To ensure balanced teams, league leadership reserves the right to adjust rosters or reassign players as necessary.
Gender Policy Statement: (Oct 12, 2017) Please note that when we list ‘boy’s/men’s’ or ‘girl’s/women’s’ we are referring to the birth gender of the participant. For all of our leagues, classes, unless they are designated as Coed, it is our policy that players participate within the gender designation that complies with the previous statement. We want to thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
