General Information
The First Friends Church Co-Ed Volleyball League is composed of men and women age 18 and over. It is intended to provide fun competition and fellowship in a warm and friendly environment. There will be a short devotional time where we share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ every week. This league will have three divisions in Winter 2025, Red, White, and Blue.
Blue—a recreational league for adults of all skill levels who are looking to have fun or learn/teach the game with moderate, but challenging competition.
Red and White—two competitive divisions for different skill levels with a larger focus on rigorous skill work and intense competition while still fostering Christ-honoring sportsmanship. Please note that there is a minimum skill floor for both divisions, with White Division reserved for veteran players of intermediate skill and Red Division for veteran players with the highest experience and skill who have played in the league previously.
There will be a skills assessment at the start of the season for new players. First Friends Sports will place players in divisions based on their discretion to maintain fair and fun competition for all leagues.
There will be a mandatory skill assessment at the start of the season to determine division placement for players who have not participated since Fall 2022. First Friends Sports reserves the right to a final decision on player placement to maintain fun and fair competition for all leagues.
League Dates: *Dec 3, 2024 – March 24, 2025

White/Blue Division begins Jan 6, 2025
Red Division begins Jan 7, 2025
Players will know what league they are in by Dec 20 so they have time to make accommodations in their schedule before January.
Fee: $45.00 per person due with registration.
Refund Policy: ($5.00 fee for all refunds) No refund will be given to any player who withdraws on or after the first week of games. An exception may be granted at the discretion of the staff due to medical reasons only. Further, no refund will be given to any player removed from the league during the course of the season for disciplinary reasons.
Registration: Online Registration for Winter 2025 league is available online with debit/credit card payment and paper forms will be available in the church brochure racks by Oct 30. Please check for confirmation email after completing online registration. Printed registration forms can be turned in at church Welcome Desk with check/cash payment Mon-Fri 9am-3pm. Deadline to register is November 29, 2024, or when league fills up, whichever occurs first. Due to skill divisions we cannot guarantee any requests will be granted. Please be flexible as we work to try to make these the best leagues yet.

Assessments: Mandatory for any player that has not participated since fall of 2022 (but all are welcome). December 3, 2024 from 8pm -10pm.
Scrimmage Date/Times: January 2025 Dates TBD check back after assessments for schedule.
Game Day/Times:
Mondays for White/Blue Divisions at 8pm, 9pm or 10pm
Tuesdays for Red Division at 8pm, 9pm or 10pm

Weather Cancellation Policy: Evening activities will be re-evaluated by staff and decisions for cancellation will be made and posted on website one hour prior to start of activity.
