General Information
To build basketball skills, sportsmanship, and faith in girls grades 4–6 through purposeful coaching and Christ-centered competition.
Fall League (September–November 2025)
League dates: September 2– November 1, 2025
Mandatory Skill Evaluation: September 1, 2025, at 5 pm; if you are unable to attend, please email us at sports@firstfriends.org
Practices: Mondays at 5:00–6:15 pm.
Games: Saturdays at 11:00 am
Devotional: A 15-minute devotional time, teaching the basics of Christian faith with a soccer fundamental, will conclude each Tuesday practice.
Fee: $85 per child (+$20 jersey, if needed).

Help make this year’s league a success—no experience required! We provide weekly plans and support. Coaches Training on August 26 at 7 pm inside the gym. Mark your interest on your child’s registration form.

Parent Resources
When & Where: September 2 – November 1, 20265 Practices: Mondays (5:00–6:15 pm). Games: Saturdays (11:00 am). Location: First Friends Church, 5455 Market Ave N, Canton, OH.
Format: 5 vs 5; four 10-minute quarters. Score is kept. [Rulebook]
End of Year Celebration: November 1, 2025 — Parents vs Kids Game. 9:00-10:30 am. Pizza, Chips, cookies, pop, & water after, and passing out awards.
Refunds: $5 retained for refunds. No refund is available after the second week, unless approved for medical reasons; none is provided if the student is removed for disciplinary reasons.
Registration: Opens online June 1, 2025; paper forms available June 6th at the Welcome Desk. Office hours: Monday–Friday, 9 am–3 pm. Deadline: TBD or when full. Late registrations accepted if space allows, though jerseys may arrive late.
Age Requirement: Register based on the child’s current grade in the ’25-26 school year. Exceptions only with director approval.
Special Requests: One request allowed (e.g., buddy pairing), must be mutual, not guaranteed. View our Policy on Team Rosters.
