General Information
The First Friends Church Co-Ed Volleyball League is composed of men and women age 18 and over. It is intended to provide fun competition and fellowship in a warm and friendly environment. There will be a short devotional time where we share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ every week. This league will have three divisions in Winter 2024, Red, White, and Blue. This Page is for the White and Blue Registrations only. Players of advanced skill who have played in the league before are encouraged to contact Tim Zornes at tzornes@firstfriends.org for permission to register in the Red Division. All others including those new to the league are encouraged to register here.
Blue—a recreational league for adults of all skill levels who are looking to have fun or learn/teach the game with moderate, but challenging competition.
Red and White—two competitive divisions for different skill levels with a larger focus on rigorous skill work and intense competition while still fostering Christ-honoring sportsmanship. Please note that there is a minimum skill floor for both divisions, with White Division reserved for veteran players of intermediate skill and Red Division for veteran players with the highest experience and skill who have played in the league previously.
During registration, select which division you would like to join. Please NOTE, the RED league has a separate registration as it will be meeting on a different day. There will be a mandatory skill assessment at the start of the season to determine division placement between WHITE and BLUE for players who have not participated since Fall 2022. First Friends Sports reserves the right to a final decision on player placement to maintain fun and fair competition for all leagues.
League Dates: January 8, 2024 – March 18, 2024
Fee: $50.00 per person due with registration.
Refund Policy: ($5.00 fee for all refunds) No refund will be given to any player who withdraws on or after the first week of games. An exception may be granted at the discretion of the staff due to medical reasons only. Further, no refund will be given to any player removed from the league during the course of the season for disciplinary reasons.
Registration: Online Registrations for Winter 2024 league will be available in November, 2023, with debit/credit card payment. Please check for confirmation email after completing online registration. Printed registration forms can be turned in at church Welcome Desk with check/cash payment Mon-Fri 9am-3pm. Deadline to register is December 22, 2023, or when league fills up, whichever occurs first. Due to skill divisions we cannot guarantee any requests will be granted. Please be flexible as we work to try to make these the best leagues yet.

Assessments: Mandatory for any player that has not participated since fall of 2022 (but all are welcome). January 8, 2024. Assessment from 8pm -10pm with open play after.
Scrimmage Date/Times: January 2024 No Scrimmage.
Game Day/Times: Mondays at 8:15pm, 9:15pm or 10:15pm
