General Information

FREE SOCCER CLINIC:  July 18 and July 25 from 12Noon to 1:30pm on First Friends soccer fields.  Please view our home page scroller to click on the link to register your child.  Register for one or both of the free clinics.  Please have your child bring their own size 4 soccer ball, if they have one.   We will have a limited amount of balls available.  A bottle with water in it and name on it is recommended.  Free hot dogs, chips and water will be provided.  Click on the link to view the Covid 19 guidelines.

 

The FFC Co-Ed U12 Soccer Fall Clinic is soccer for youth aged 10-11 in the Stark area. This league is an aide in the progression of soccer skills developed previously. In each of our soccer leagues, we seek to teach our players the game of soccer in an age appropriate, healthy and encouraging environment.  We believe that there is such a thing as ‘healthy competition.’ 

Our Fall League begins in August and the Spring League begins in April. Registrations are available a month prior. There will be a short devotional time where we share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ every week. The season will conclude with a league celebration that includes food, fun, participation awards, and league champion awards.

U12 Division Games will be played with an 8 v 8 format with a goalie. A size 4 ball is recommended for practices and will be utilized during games.

 

League Dates:  August 22 – October 30, 2020

 

Fee: $60.00 per child (includes jersey)
Refund Policy: $5.00 fee retained if refund requested.  No refund will be given to any player who withdraws after the second week of practice. An exception may be granted at the discretion of the staff due to medical reasons only. Further, no refund will be given to any player removed from the league during the course of the season for disciplinary reasons.

 

Registration: Registrations for Fall League will be available online at least one month prior to start of league! Deadline to register is August 22, unless league fills up before then, whichever occurs first. PLEASE REGISTER CHILD IN THE DIVISION ACCORDING TO WHAT THEIR AGE is ON SEPTEMBER 1 OF 2020 FOR FALL SOCCER. Any deviation from the age standard requires prior permission from the league director.

 

Skill Evaluation Date and Time: August 22 at 10:30am.   Everyone please plan to attend. Location at First Friends Church. Please wear soccer cleats, bring a size 4 soccer ball, water in a bottle with your name on it and wear shin guards under the socks.

Mandatory Parents’ Meeting: during assessments at First Friends Church Pavilion.

 

Practice Day and Time: Once a week on Thursday starting at 6:00pm for 1 hour and 15 min. In October when the sun begins to set earlier, practices will begin at 5:30pm and end at 6:45pm.

First Practice:  Saturday, August 29 at 10:45am.  Please remember to wear cleats,  bring a ball, water in a bottle with your name on it and shin guards worn under socks to practice!

 

Game Day and Times: Saturday mornings to early afternoon. Tentative times: 8:45am and 10am (There may be later times due to travel to away games). Schedule will be posted at later date. Approximately half of the U12 games may require some travel. First Game: Saturday, September 5,  schedule TBA

 

Equipment Needed: Size 4 soccer ball, soccer cleats (no metal cleats), shin guards worn under the socks are required to wear during the season for safety purposes and a water bottle with name on it. Please dress according to the weather.

 

End of Season Celebration: TBA Pizza and drink will be provided, please bring a side dish or dessert to share.

 

**Disclaimer: Please note that fairness and positive competition are a high priority in our program. Thus, our league leadership reserves the right to alter team rosters/move players in order to balance teams if necessary. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. We reserve the right to change age division break ups based on participation numbers up to and including the first assessment date.

 

Weather Cancellation Policy:  Evening activities will be re-evaluated by staff and decisions for cancellation will be made and posted on website one hour prior to start of activity.
