Students will learn how to relax on stage and communicate clearly to an audience, memorization, alliteration and team building. This fun class emphasizes simple techniques for focusing on character development with a faith-based approach. Students will have the opportunity to learn through playful games and exciting improvisational workouts. A sketch will be prepared and performed each session where students have equal parts, focusing on education, not competition.
Introduce: Stage Directions, Speaking Voice, Improvisation, Pantomime, Performance Etiquette. Develop: Facial Expression, Minimally Structured Improvisation, General Mood Recognition, Performance Courage, Imitation, Stage Directions, Imaginary Scenario, Story Telling, Props, Tableau Technique. Master: Listening, Social Interactions, Beginning Classroom Etiquette, Rehearsal Vocab, Performance Vocab

Fee: $55.00 ($5.00 fee retained if refund requested) Spring 2020 fee subject to change. No refund will be given to any participant who withdraws after the first week of classes. An exception may be granted at the discretion of the staff due to medical reasons only. Further, no refund will be given to any participant removed from the class during the course of the season for disciplinary reasons.
Registrations Registrations are available one month prior to start of class: They are accepted online with debit/credit card or at church Welcome Desk with check/cash; in the Sports and Recreation Office until TBA, or until the class fills up, whichever occurs first. Late registrations will be accepted if space is available. Office hours are 9am-4:30pm.
