Students will begin the week learning basic drawing vocabulary and exploring supplies. Day 2 will be a review and application of drawing terms to a thematic drawing. Days 3 and 4 will be a discussion and application of color and texture. Day 5 will culminate with a final drawing implementing all skills. This camp is intended for beginner through intermediate artists.

Important Information


Arts Academy Summer Drawing Camp for Ages 6-15  July 23 – July 27  Class meets everyday from Tue – Fri from 7:00-8:00pm and on Saturday at 1:00-2:00pm.  Meeting for Parents:  Tuesday, July 16 at 6pm  What to wear?  Students should wear comfortable modest clothing:  Shorts must be longer than fingertips, Shirts must cover shoulders and bellies (no tank tops), No words/illustrations on the derriere, Comfortable shoes.
Color stain marks may happen, an Art Shirt is recommended.

Supply list needed:
Pad of Drawing Paper (24 sheets of 18″ x 24″)
Fine & Broad Tip Markers in assorted colors, including black
Scratch Paper (printer paper is ideal)
Pencil & Eraser (No Mechanical Pencils)
Portfolio for large papers
8 1/2″ x 11″ Folder to hold papers
Art Shirt recommended

Artwork will be displayed at the Arts Academy Summer Camp Festival on July 27 at 4pm (please note new time) in the hallway outside of the gymnasium.  Everyone is invited to attend the Festival (performance) in the gym at 6pm and the reception to follow in rooms L1,2.  Free event.
