AA-Kid Pitch Rules
FUN is the
keyword. Instruction is a close second,
and winning is not the goal!
Coaches must remain
FLEXIBLE, changes will happen.
1. Game consists of 5 innings, 1 1/2 hour
time limit, no new inning after 80 minutes
2. Each team plays 9 in the field, may play 8 if short
handed.
3. 5 run limit per inning. Game score will be kept-CSPs for league champion
4. Batting order consists of entire roster, following game begins with batter following
the last out from the previous game (continuous rotation)
5. No pinch hitting unless injury in which case the next
batter in the rotation will hit
6. Catchers must wear a protective cup at all times
7. All players must
play 1 infield and 1 outfield position in each game, pitcher counts as infield positions. (Exception-Catcher) All
players must sit 1 inning if possible, and no player sit 2 consecutive inning.
(We want EQUAL playing time for all)
8. Pitchers may pitch no more than 3 innings/game and 6
innings/week. No pitcher re-entry
9. No leading off
base, No stealing is permitted.
10. The batter is out on a dropped third strike.
11. Where a potential play may occur at a base, a runner
has three options, he may: 1) return to previous base, 2) slide, or 3) avoid
the fielder. A runner may not make
contact with a fielder, result is an automatic out and possible ejection.
12. A fielder may not block a base without possession of
the ball.
13. Any rules not covered above will be the judgment of the
League Director whose decisions are final.
CSPs- Championship series points will
determine league champion
1. Huddle time -30 pts max -minus 5 for each child late or
absent. 20 minutes prior to Saturday games.
2. Memory verse -4 per team/week (coaches included) -5
points, verses are cumulative (for example, in week 3
may be asked for verse from weeks 1, 2 or 3)
3. Winning team -15 points, losing team -5 points, tie is 10
each
4. Each team will receive 10 points for a correct rotation
sheet.
Remember, no player sits 2 consecutive
innings, all players sit once if possible.
