It is the goal of FFC to provide each youth involved with a positive experience in competition and to provide the best technical volleyball skill development in the area. The Red, White, and Blue leagues are designed for girls in the 4th, 5th, & 6th grades. Players of any skill, beginner through advanced, are welcome. This league will play in a three division format (Red, White, & Blue), breaking up the players by age and ability. This league runs from January through March each year. Skills that will be taught include serving, serve reception, setting, passing, blocking, and transitioning. The adapted net height and the use of USVA certified Volley Lite volleyballs ensure personal success. Players will need to provide their own knee pads and First Friends League volleyball jerseys are required. Each team consists of a roster of 9 players and two coaches. There are 8 games with practices once a week. Immediately following the practices (starting the practice before the first game), we take time to share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ in our huddle time, which will last approximately 15-20 minutes. Players and coaches are also encouraged to memorize scripture verses weekly. This is all part of our Championship Series Points (CSP) system, which determines the league champions.
